The PADI Tec 40 Diver course is the course where you make the transition from recreational diving to technical diving. It is a perfect course to start tec diving because it is also the first course of the full PADI Tec Diver program that bridges the gap between zero-time diving and deep, technical decompression diving.

 

You gain experience and start building up the knowledge and skills you need to continue your training as a Tec Diver. After the course you are allowed to do limited decompression dives to a depth of 40 meters at most.

 

The Tec 40 course consists of theory lessons, practical lessons and at least four tec dives.

 

You will, among other things, delve into:

• The risks and responsibilities of technical diving

• Tec diving equipment and the correct way of rigging your set

• Gas planning, oxygen limits and decompression planning

• Techniques for team diving and emergency procedures such as dealing with a free flowing regulator, leak in one of the hoses and situations in which you run out of gas
